German Teacher

About the role

Gemba Management Consulting is seeking a German Teacher to join its on‑site training team in Chennai. You will design and deliver engaging German language lessons for learners of varying proficiency, supporting both language acquisition and cultural understanding.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver German language lessons using appropriate teaching methods and materials.
• Develop lesson plans, curricula, and learning exercises tailored to individual and group needs.
• Assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate attendance and performance records.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in academic or training activities organized by the company.

Required profile

• Strong spoken and written proficiency in German, able to teach grammar, vocabulary and communication skills.
• Experience in language instruction, curriculum development and lesson planning for adult learners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Education or a related field; German certification (e.g., Goethe‑Institut) is a plus.
• Reliability in attendance, time‑management and comfort working in a structured, on‑site environment in Chennai.
• Familiarity with digital teaching tools, presentations and basic office software.
• Prior experience in corporate training or HR development is beneficial.
