Apigee API Developer

About the role

ECS, Enterprise Change Specialists, is hiring a full-time Apigee API Developer in Hyderabad, Telangana. The role combines hands-on API proxy work with leading solution design, mentoring and guiding technical teams through complex, multi-phased delivery projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement and troubleshoot API proxies, including products, portals, apps, admin settings (KVM, caches, flow hooks, TLS keystore updates, users and roles, virtual hosts).
• Build reusable shared flows for security, transformation, logging and erroring, using Google Stackdriver.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and RESTful web services, enhancing or maintaining existing ones.
• Run requirements-gathering workshops and lead the solution design process.
• Lead technical teams through complex projects, give hands-on delivery guidance and identify and mitigate risks and pain points.
• Mentor and train the internal team on design and architecture best practices.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in API management with Apigee Edge and Apigee X.
• Strong business and technical experience in requirements gathering and exception-handling strategies.
• Experience developing and maintaining API proxies based on consumer needs.
