Accountant – Cloud Accounting & Taxation (Kottayam)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Accountant to join our growing team in Kottayam. This position offers hands‑on experience with Australian tax and bookkeeping processes while working closely with a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records in Xero, including bank, credit‑card and payroll reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing financial statements such as profit & loss and balance sheets, including year‑end reporting.
• Support the preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and individual tax returns in compliance with ATO regulations.
• Manage bookkeeping, GST and ongoing reporting requirements for small‑business clients.
• Ensure all financial data aligns with Australian taxation standards and company accuracy policies.

Required profile

• B.Com, M.Com or semi‑qualified CA/CMA/CPA.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Prior exposure to Australian accounting standards is highly preferred.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow within Australian accounting.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
