Vice President – Business Auditor, Asset Management/Banking

About the role

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Vice President to join its Internal Audit team as a Business Auditor focused on Asset Management and Banking. In this third‑line‑of‑defense position you will independently assess the firm’s control environment and provide assurance on risk‑related processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage audit deliverables and lead audit projects from planning through reporting.
• Assess control effectiveness across trade booking, middle‑office operations, settlements and investment due‑diligence processes.
• Perform balance substantiations and Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) 404 control assessments.
• Communicate audit findings to local and global management, and monitor remediation actions.
• Support the Audit Committee, Board of Directors and Risk Committee with timely, objective assurance.
• Collaborate with global audit teams covering securities, investment banking, consumer and investment management, risk, finance, cyber‑security and technology risk.
• Continuously improve audit methodology by applying analytical techniques and innovative approaches.
