Tax Consultant – TMT Global Compliance & Reporting

About the role

EY is seeking a Consultant to join its Tax – TMT – Global Compliance & Reporting team in Hyderabad. The role supports technology, media, entertainment and telecommunications clients with corporate tax matters and helps deliver global compliance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior staff in responding to client queries on corporate tax issues, including capital gains, tax payments and income‑tax return preparation.
• Conduct technical research on income‑tax provisions, prepare submissions for assessment and appellate proceedings, and support representation before tax authorities.
• Handle routine matters before income‑tax authorities and manage administrative tasks such as engagement letters, billing follow‑up and filing of client documents.
• Use electronic working papers and relevant software applications to analyse data, produce tax advisory/compliance products and ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification (CA) with 0‑2 years of experience.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
