Remote Operations Engineer

About the role

Augury, a leading Industrial AI company, is seeking a Remote Operations Engineer to bridge traditional manufacturing with AI‑driven automation. You will provide human oversight for AI agents, ensuring continuous, efficient production across remote industrial sites.

Key responsibilities

• Continuous Monitoring: Use AI‑powered dashboards to track production performance, process conditions, and critical metrics.
• Anomaly Management: Review AI‑generated alarms, prioritize deviations, and maintain operational continuity.
• Real‑time Coordination: Act as liaison between AI insights and on‑site personnel via Teams or VoIP, guiding daily workflows.
• Documentation & Handoffs: Keep detailed operational logs and ensure smooth shift handovers.
• Domain Expertise: Provide human‑in‑the‑loop escalation support, applying manufacturing knowledge to troubleshoot complex issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, or a related technical field.
• 4–8 years of experience operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing industrial manufacturing processes.
• Hands‑on experience with industrial systems such as DCS, SCADA, and data historians (e.g., AVEVA).
• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex data sets and improve efficiency and yield.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English, capable of leading technical discussions with on‑site teams.
