Python Application Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design and build scalable, database‑driven web applications using Python APIs. The role involves full ownership of backend modules, integration work, and mentoring junior team members within a dynamic, Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance Python‑based APIs (FastAPI/Django).
• Own backend modules end‑to‑end, from design through deployment.
• Design and optimise database schemas, queries and overall performance for MS SQL or PostgreSQL.
• Participate in customer discussions, requirement analysis and backend solution design.
• Handle backend deployments, environment setup and API integrations.
• Write and maintain unit and integration test scripts for backend services.
• Ensure effective Git repository management and version‑control practices.
• Work within Agile/Scrum methodologies and follow SDLC processes.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of overall IT experience in software development.
• 2–3 years of strong hands‑on experience in Python API development (FastAPI/Django).
• Proven experience in database design and programming (MS SQL, PostgreSQL) for database‑centric web applications.
• Hands‑on experience with code integration and module orchestration.
• Ability to mentor team members and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders.
