About the role
Cognite is looking for a Senior Principal Architect to lead the design and evolution of its data integration platform. You will shape the architecture that powers data ingestion, transformation, contextualisation and pipeline orchestration for industrial customers, leveraging the latest AI advances.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the technical design of data integration and contextualisation services.
- Make technology decisions that give Cognite a competitive edge and align with architecture principles.
- Incorporate generative AI to future‑proof the data integration product.
- Ensure scalability, robustness, cost‑efficiency and compliance with service‑level objectives.
- Evaluate, select and champion frameworks, libraries and tools across teams.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, delivery and partner teams to meet customer needs.
- Mentor senior developers and promote standardisation where needed.
Required profile
- 10+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software architecture, preferably in data‑intensive platforms.
- Proven ability to lead large‑scale technical initiatives and influence product road‑maps.
Required skills
- Data integration and pipeline orchestration.
- Cloud architecture and cost optimisation.
- AI/ML concepts, especially generative AI.
- Design of scalable, robust, and high‑performance services.
