Purchasing Manager / Assistant Purchasing Manager

About the role

Join Hilton’s hotel team as a Purchasing Manager or Assistant Purchasing Manager and lead the procurement function that supports exceptional guest experiences. You will develop and execute purchasing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure a stable, cost‑effective supply chain for all hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee procurement operations and maintain optimal inventory levels of general merchandise.
• Collaborate with the Chef and hotel management to align purchases with operational needs.
• Negotiate contracts, secure competitive pricing, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Conduct quality checks on shipments to verify specifications, grade, and standards.
• Supervise and develop the purchasing team, providing coaching and performance monitoring.
• Identify and mitigate supply‑chain risks such as disruptions, price volatility, and compliance issues.
• Analyze market trends to anticipate price shifts and inform purchasing decisions.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Proven ability to source, negotiate and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, stock control and procurement systems.
• Experience with budgeting, cost analysis and performance tracking.
• Familiarity with local procurement regulations, health and safety standards, and sustainability practices.
• Highly organized with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
