Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist (FP&A Executive)

About the role

Sar Analytics is looking for an FP&A Executive to own the planning, forecasting, and performance‑analysis engine for its SaaS business. This numbers‑and‑narrative role involves building and maintaining revenue and cost models, explaining drivers of change, and delivering crisp reporting for management and board reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain the AOP, budgets, and rolling forecasts, including ARR/MRR revenue builds and headcount and cost models.
• Run monthly budget‑vs‑actual and forecast variance analysis, providing clear written commentary on what moved and why.
• Track and explain core SaaS metrics such as ARR, MRR, churn, NRR, CAC, LTV, and pipeline conversion.
• Own the management reporting pack and board decks, delivering dashboards, executive summaries, and one‑pagers.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Product to ensure data consistency across CRM, billing, and finance systems while automating recurring reports.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of SaaS metrics (ARR/MRR, churn, NRR, CAC, LTV, pipeline conversion) and ability to explain changes.
• Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, cash flow, revenue recognition) and linking operational metrics to them.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial modelling, pivots, Power Query, lookup and array formulas.
• Proficiency in Power BI (data modelling, DAX) and PowerPoint for executive‑ready decks.
• Analytical rigor with accurate assumptions, error‑checking, and clear documentation.
• MBA (Finance), CA, CMA or equivalent qualification and 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, business finance or analytics, preferably in a SaaS/technology environment.
