Document Control Specialist – US Shift

About the role

The Document Control Specialist ensures that all documents required for Fictiv’s quality management system and other business functions are current, accurate, and accessible. Working on a US shift, you will support global teams and help maintain ISO9001:2015 registration.

Key responsibilities

• Implement document‑control best practices and enforce company policies.
• Provide training on document‑management processes to new and existing users.
• Review documents for completeness, template compliance, and regulatory suitability.
• Coordinate the approval workflow, ensuring timely reviews and sign‑offs from subject‑matter experts.
• Distribute new and revised documents, track acknowledgments, and maintain archived versions.
• Publish KPIs for document control, identify improvement opportunities, and support cross‑functional teams with document requests.

• Effective communicator who can listen, clarify ambiguities, and advocate for process improvements.

Required skills

• Minimum 10 years of document‑control experience in a technical organization.
• Proficiency with at least one Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
• In‑depth knowledge of ISO9001:2015 and familiarity with ISO13485, IATF16949.
• Experience implementing and configuring Document Management Systems.
• Ability to compile data, generate metrics, and produce training materials.
