Area Sales Manager – West (Automotive & Industrial)

About the role

3M is seeking an Area Sales Manager for the West region, covering Mumbai and surrounding territories. The role focuses on driving primary and secondary sales of 3M products within the automotive aftermarket, appliance, and converter segments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market penetration and share.
• Collaborate with technical and marketing teams to showcase product value to dealership top management.
• Track and record dealership activities in Salesforce (SFDC) to ensure organized sales efforts.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews (MTRs) with key dealership stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal and external customers, building the 3M brand across the region.
• Interpret global success stories, new applications, and NPI to adapt local sales approaches.
• Ensure compliance with 3M legal and regulatory policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• 6–10 years of experience in a similar industry, preferably automotive aftermarket.
• Proven track record of achieving sales growth and new product adoption.
• Willingness to travel across the assigned territory.

Required skills

• Salesforce (SFDC) for activity tracking and reporting.
