Tooling Project Engineer

About the role

Walter Pack is looking for a Tooling Project Engineer to lead the technical development of injection molds and plastic components from concept to final validation. You will work closely with customers, suppliers, the technical office, workshop and internal teams in a stable, long‑term project environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop plastic components for the automotive sector.
• Create and modify 3D models and technical drawings.
• Coordinate technical discussions with customers during all development phases.
• Manage injection‑mold projects from design through validation, including testing, modifications and final tuning.
• Collaborate with the technical office, workshop, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Perform feasibility analyses and optimise parts for manufacturing and injection molding.

Required profile

• Technical background with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Organised, solution‑oriented and able to coordinate multiple interlocutors in an industrial project setting.
• High level of technical English for communication with international customers and suppliers.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Unigraphics (NX) for 3D modelling.
• Knowledge of thermoplastics and injection‑molding processes.
• Familiarity with injection‑simulation software such as Moldflow or Moldex3D.
• Strong technical English communication skills.
