Tax Executive – Direct Tax

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Tax Executive to join our Direct Tax team in Gurgaon. This position offers a strong platform to develop technical expertise, manage client relationships, and contribute to complex tax advisory and compliance assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in direct tax compliance, preparing income tax returns, TDS returns and handling tax audits for corporates, LLPs, and individuals.
• Perform monthly TDS calculations and prepare and file TDS returns.
• Support senior team members by collating data and drafting responses to tax notices, assessments, and appellate proceedings.
• Utilise the income tax website to file various forms and responses.
• Collaborate with seniors to structure transactions and deliver end‑to‑end tax solutions.
• Stay updated on amendments to the Income‑Tax Act, judicial pronouncements, and global tax developments.
• Coordinate with clients, tax authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.

Required profile

• Semi‑qualified CA or Commerce graduate with 2–3 years of direct tax experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of the Income‑Tax Act, 1961 and the upcoming Income‑Tax Act, 2025.
• Excellent drafting, research, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage deadlines, work in teams, and handle client interactions professionally.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and tax software.
• Preferably residing in Gurgaon or nearby.
