System Administrator & Network Engineer

About the role

Rudra Cybersecurity Private Limited is looking for a System Administrator & Network Engineer to support its MarineSecure platform, a specialised networking and security solution for the maritime industry. The role blends core system administration, network engineering and advanced technical support, working closely with development, cybersecurity and maritime communication teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, configure and maintain Linux and Windows servers as well as cloud environments (AWS, GCP).
• Manage internal and client network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, routers, switches and Wi‑Fi systems.
• Monitor and optimise system and network performance to ensure high availability and business continuity.
• Implement security measures such as patches, updates and configuration hardening.
• Design and maintain network topologies, remote access, VLANs and secure tunnels.
• Provide Level‑3 technical support for the MarineSecure platform, resolving complex networking, server and cybersecurity issues.
• Document system configurations, troubleshooting procedures and operational changes.
• Participate in internal cybersecurity projects and platform hardening initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in system administration, network engineering and technical support.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, routing and switching).
• Hands‑on experience with MikroTik routers and RouterOS is a plus.
• Familiarity with firewalls, IDS/IPS and endpoint security tools.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., Proxmox) and cloud services (AWS, GCP).
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
