Senior Quality Test Engineer – Automation & API Testing

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Quality Test Engineer to deliver reliable, high‑quality software and data solutions through automation, performance, and functional testing. The role partners with cross‑functional teams to design test strategies, improve quality practices, and support timely product delivery in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test solutions for web, API, and integrated systems.
• Create and implement test strategies, test plans, and automation frameworks that support quality goals.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to identify risks, validate requirements, and improve product quality.
• Support performance, load, and scalability testing efforts where applicable.
• Participate in product design and requirements reviews to provide quality‑focused feedback.
• Investigate, document, and help drive resolution of software defects and quality issues.
• Configure, maintain, and improve test environments, tools, and processes.
• Mentor team members, share knowledge, and foster a culture of learning and quality.

Required profile

• Significant experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or Quality Engineering.
• Experience developing and maintaining test automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, or similar tools.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with API testing and automation using Playwright, REST Assured, Postman, or comparable solutions.
• Understanding of software testing principles, test design techniques, and Agile development practices.
• Experience testing distributed, multi‑tier, or enterprise applications.
• Working knowledge of databases, SQL, and data validation techniques.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools like Jira and Zephyr.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
