System Administrator

About the role
OMSGuru, a fast‑growing eCommerce software provider, is looking for an experienced System Administrator to manage and optimise its physical and virtual IT infrastructure. The role involves ensuring high availability, performance and security across Windows, Linux and macOS environments.
Key responsibilities
- Install, configure and monitor servers, desktops and laptops (physical and virtual).
- Manage network devices – firewalls, switches, routers and GSM gateways – including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPNs and routing policies.
- Implement backup and restore solutions for VMs, databases and applications.
- Administer virtualisation platforms (VMware ESXi 8, Proxmox, Hyper‑V) and storage (NAS/SAN, RAID).
- Deploy and maintain web services on IIS, Apache and Nginx; manage MSSQL, MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
- Handle patch management, system updates and endpoint security (ESET Security Server).
- Monitor infrastructure with ELK Stack, Zabbix, NewRelic and Grafana, delivering alerts via Slack/email.
- Support Office 365 and Google Workspace users, manage GitLab server and VoIP/SIP solutions (Asterisk).
- Automate tasks using Bash, PowerShell, Zapier and n8n; secure remote access (RDP, SSH, Telnet, SNMP).
Required profile
- 2–5 years of Windows, Linux and macOS system administration.
- 2–3 years of experience with virtualisation (VMware, Hyper‑V, Proxmox).
- Hands‑on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Route 53) and networking concepts.
- Proven ability to manage backups, storage, security and monitoring tools.
