Strategic Sourcing - Metals

About the role

Exponent Energy, which builds e^pump charging stations and e^pack battery packs for 15-minute rapid charging electric vehicles, is hiring a Strategic Sourcing specialist for its Supply Chain team. You will own the strategic sourcing of all metal components, working closely with supplier partners, engineering, product and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Drive supplier relationships to deliver partner metrics on cost, quality, delivery and localisation
• Negotiate prices and contracts and on-board suppliers alongside new product development
• Drive sourcing projects and build process capabilities with partners across fabrication, stamping, casting parts and fasteners, adhesives
• Drive should-costing for new product development projects
• Benchmark cost and quality, identify suppliers, process capabilities or technologies that drive productivity
• Engage suppliers to advance innovation and quality across products

Required profile

• Relevant 4 to 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing of metal components
• Structured problem-solving, detail orientation and a customer-first attitude
• Data-driven decision-making
• Empathy for all customers, resilience and a positive approach to problem-solving
