Staff Nurse – Neurology/Neuro‑ICU

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join our neurology and neuro‑ICU team. The role involves delivering high‑quality patient care, supporting complex neurological procedures, and collaborating closely with physicians and multidisciplinary staff.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct neurological assessments, including Glasgow Coma Scale, vital signs, and reflex monitoring.
• Operate specialized equipment such as intracranial pressure (ICP) monitors and ventilators, and assist with bedside procedures like lumbar punctures and EEG recordings.
• Administer IV and oral medications safely, monitoring for adverse neurological reactions.
• Prepare patients for neurosurgery, provide post‑operative monitoring, and manage recovery and potential complications.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient progress and treatment responses.
• Educate patients and families on condition management, rehabilitation exercises, and discharge planning.

Required profile

• B.Sc. Nursing or General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from a recognized institution.
• Active and valid nursing registration with the state nursing council.
• 1–3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in neuroscience, neuro‑ICU, or neuro‑rehabilitation.
• Ability to work under high stress, handle complex medical equipment, and communicate effectively with patients and team members.
