Assistant Manager – Medical Affairs (Surgery)

About the role

Join Johnson & Johnson MedTech India as an Assistant Manager in Medical Affairs, focusing on the Surgery portfolio. You will drive medical excellence, ensure compliance, and provide evidence‑based support for device adoption across India.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and support advisory boards and expert forums, handling objectives, agendas, contracts, honoraria and insight capture.
• Own medical and scientific review of promotional and non‑promotional materials, ensuring accuracy, balance and audit‑ready documentation.
• Manage product complaint reporting, medical device reporting (MDR) and adverse event escalation in line with J&J safety frameworks.
• Partner with Quality, Regulatory, Safety and Legal teams to maintain audit readiness, CAPA management and internal governance.
• Engage KOLs through compliant scientific dialogue, faculty programs and congress participation.

Required profile

• MD/MBBS/M.Pharm/PharmD/PhD (Life Sciences); MBA is a plus.
• 4‑8 years experience in Medical Affairs or scientific roles within MedTech/devices or procedure‑based therapies.
• Experience with copy review, advisory boards, compliance and safety/vigilance.
• Strong orientation toward patient safety, ethical standards and evidence evaluation.
