Software Engineer – SAP Environment Management (EHS)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join BASF’s Digital Hub in Hyderabad, focusing on SAP Environment Management and EHS solutions. The role involves developing, enhancing and supporting SAP S/4HANA based applications that manage environmental permits, emissions and product safety data.

Key responsibilities

• Support and continuously improve SAP Environment Compliance solutions, including permits management for sealed surfaces and emissions.
• Work in an agile product team, participate in iteration planning and deliver high‑quality features with measurable business value.
• Create functional and technical designs and implement them in an SAP S/4HANA landscape.
• Develop, enhance and maintain custom SAP ABAP and SAP Fiori applications.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders, key users and cross‑functional teams to ensure solution alignment.

Required profile

• Strong functional and technical expertise in SAP Environment Management and Product Safety & Stewardship (EHS) solutions.
• Proven experience developing, operating and supporting SAP EHS applications, including incident analysis and issue resolution.
• Ability to understand and translate business processes into technical designs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with global teams.
