Software Engineer I – HR Technology (Talent Acquisition)

About the role

We are seeking an early‑career Software Engineer to join Nike’s HR Technology (ITC) team. You will help design, develop, configure, and maintain Talent Acquisition systems such as Workday Recruiting, working within an agile environment to support global hiring experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and test software components and solutions within sprint scope.
• Support enhancements, bug fixes, and small feature development for Talent Acquisition platforms.
• Participate in configuration reviews, incorporate feedback, and assist with integrations, reporting, and workflow automation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of hiring processes and tools.
• Provide production support, resolve issues, and maintain release documentation.
• Collaborate with agile team members during planning, stand‑ups, backlog grooming, and sprint execution.
• Communicate progress clearly and document work for knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Foundational programming or system‑configuration knowledge.
• Exposure to HR systems or Talent Acquisition tools (e.g., Workday Recruiting) is a plus.
• Internship, coursework, or project experience in software development or system configuration.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
