Software Engineer - Backend (India)

About the role

Articul8 builds a GenAI platform for regulated industries such as energy, semiconductors, finance, aerospace and supply chain, combining domain-specific models, autonomous agentic reasoning, model evaluation and multimodal understanding. It is hiring a Product/Software Engineer-Backend with a proven track record of designing and building scalable production software to join its Product Technology team and shape the future of GenAI.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve scalable, secure, high-performance backend systems focused on high availability, low latency and cost-effectiveness.
• Act as subject matter expert in infrastructure when designing new products and introducing new technology.
• Collaborate with engineering and research teams to integrate infrastructure components with product features.
• Design event-driven architectures and build APIs and microservices for real-time processing and analytics.
• Ensure reliability, performance and scalability through monitoring, logging and error handling.
• Stay current with emerging trends and apply them to strengthen infrastructure capabilities.
• Take part in code reviews, contribute to open-source projects and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional experience designing, implementing or consulting on applications and backend software.
• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Preferred: Master's or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
