Product Analyst Intern

About the role

Bureau is a unified risk decisioning platform for compliance, fraud and transaction risks, used by banks, fintechs, retailers and digital platforms to verify identities and stop fraud. It is hiring a full-time Product Analyst Intern in Bangalore, working on the foundation and data quality of its OCR models and on data-driven product insights.

Key responsibilities

• Own the data sourcing engine for the OCR models: source new document types, maintain decent volume per type and tag data to build high-quality training sets.
• Evaluate the 120+ API services against internal standards and external competitors, identifying latency issues, success rate drops and coverage gaps.
• Analyze transaction data to find opportunities for product optimization, such as why verifications fail and how to improve conversion rates for specific segments.
• Turn raw data into actionable insights using SQL and data visualization, recommending tech-stack upgrades to the Engineering and Product teams.

Required profile

• Final year student or recent graduate in Engineering, Economics, Statistics or a business-related field with a strong analytical focus.
• Comfortable querying data and finding patterns in large datasets.
• Comfortable understanding how APIs work and how data flows through a system, without needing to be a software engineer.
• A proactive mindset: identifies data errors, reports them and proposes solutions.

Required skills

• Data fluency with SQL and large datasets.
