Software Engineer – ABAP & SAP BTP Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer with deep expertise in ABAP and SAP Business Technology Platform to design, develop and maintain end‑to‑end SAP solutions. The role involves close collaboration with customers and cross‑functional teams to deliver user‑centric applications that meet business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand use‑cases, pain points and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design high‑level software architecture and select appropriate technology stacks, integration methods and deployment strategies.
• Develop full‑stack SAP applications, including SAP Fiori/UI5 front‑ends, OData services and back‑end APIs or micro‑services.
• Create and maintain ABAP code, CDS views, AMDP procedures and HANA SQL scripts, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Define and implement test strategies, including test‑driven development, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Apply security best practices such as encryption and data anonymisation.
• Continuously evaluate emerging SAP and cloud technologies to improve development efficiency.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers and architects throughout the software lifecycle.

Required profile

• 6+ years of IT experience with at least 4 years in SAP development.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to solve complex problems.
• Experience working in agile environments and delivering high‑quality software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
