About the role

Amazon’s Alexa Growth organization is focused on increasing Alexa engagement by improving conversations per weekly active account and asks per weekly active account. We are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead a team of engineers in Hyderabad, delivering high‑quality features that scale across languages and devices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of software engineers, ensuring timely delivery and high quality.
• Make technical decisions covering software architecture, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with product and program management to define requirements and drive feature development.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to optimize end‑to‑end experiences and support experimentation.
• Oversee code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and live‑site operations.

Required profile

• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
• 8+ years leading definition and development of multi‑tier web services.
• Proven ability to design and architect reliable, scalable systems.
• Experience working with product or program management partners.
