Site Manager - Solar O&M

About the role

The Site Manager will lead all Operation & Maintenance (O&M) activities for a solar power plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance. You will coordinate with internal teams, clients, and government authorities to keep the site running at optimal output.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily O&M activities, enforce health & safety procedures, and ensure compliance with SOPs and checklists.
• Plan and schedule maintenance, track warranties and AMC contracts, and minimise plant downtime.
• Conduct field inspections, identify non‑conformities, and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Monitor O&M budget, record power generation data, and report performance to upstream stakeholders and clients.
• Analyse plant performance, prepare monthly yield summaries, and reconcile assets.
• Coordinate maintenance shutdowns, provide required data to regulatory bodies (RLDC, PGCIL, etc.), and manage waste disposal.
• Lead manpower attendance, discipline, and safety incident reporting.
• Implement digital tools (CMMS, CMS), support HOTO handover, and drive innovation for performance improvement.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with HV/EHV electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of solar plant operations and components.
• Ability to independently manage all site‑level operational activities.
• Customer‑focused mindset with good communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS‑Office.
