Site Civil Engineer – On‑site role in Srinagar

About the role

The Office for Urban Architecture is seeking a Site Civil Engineer to join its on‑site team in Srinagar. You will be responsible for supervising daily civil works, ensuring compliance with design documents and local regulations, and supporting the delivery of high‑quality, resilient built environments.

Key responsibilities

• Set out, supervise, and monitor construction activities on active project sites.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and local codes.
• Prepare and review civil drawings, reports, and documentation.
• Support site planning, grading layouts, and the design/implementation of storm‑water and drainage systems.
• Participate in site meetings and promote health‑and‑safety practices.
• Manage quality control, material checks, and on‑time, within‑budget project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong foundation in civil engineering design, including grading, roadways, utilities, and site layout.
• Knowledge of storm‑water management and drainage design.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and relevant codes.
• Demonstrated ability to work full‑time on site in Srinagar and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Early‑career candidates are welcome; prior experience in building or urban development projects is a plus.

• AutoCAD (or similar drafting software).
• Microsoft Office suite.
