Senior Travel & Expense Associate Specialist

About the role

BASF is building a new Global Hub in India and seeks a Senior Travel & Expense Associate Specialist to join its Finance team in Hyderabad. You will work on the end‑to‑end Travel & Expense (T&E) process for the Americas, collaborating with global finance, HR, and banking partners.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and process employee travel expense reports in line with country guidelines and service level agreements.
• Prepare payment proposals, perform bank reconciliations and conduct account analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimise processes and develop key performance indicators.
• Act as the T&E representative with GB Finance, banks and key stakeholders.
• Lead regional and global projects, including internal and external audits.
• Provide training to cardholders and ensure effective knowledge transfer within the team.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance functions.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural, fast‑paced global environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
