Senior Test Technician

About the role

The Senior Test Technician will support the operation of a solid oxide fuel cell testing station, ensuring that test articles are installed correctly and that all testing procedures are carried out safely and accurately. This role combines hands‑on mechanical work with data logging and laboratory instrument handling.

Key responsibilities

• Install test articles on the solid oxide fuel cell testing station.
• Conduct leak tests using standard pressure‑decay methodology.
• Execute pre‑install checklists and verify test bench readiness.
• Manage inventory of tools and equipment required for the test bench.
• Log test data using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Operate analytical instruments used in the laboratory.
• Perform tasks assigned by supervisors or engineers.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with fitting, fixtures, ferruling and leak checks.
• Proficiency with plumbing tools such as wrenches, pliers and plungers, and appropriate safety PPE.
• Ability to work independently and follow standard operating procedures.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Good oral and written communication abilities.
