Senior Tax Analyst – GST Compliance

About the role

Amazon’s International Indirect Tax Compliance team in Bangalore is looking for an energetic Senior Tax Analyst to lead GST compliance activities across India. You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, handling the preparation, analysis and filing of GST returns while supporting internal and external audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and submit India GST returns and related filings.
• Manage GST registrations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Address GST compliance queries from Amazon business units and internal teams.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and implement solutions for GST issues.
• Build and maintain internal controls to ensure seamless compliance.
• Review month‑end GST account reconciliations.
• Provide audit support, including data analysis for internal and external auditors.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional projects focused on automation and in‑housing of tax processes.
• Support onboarding of new entities to GST compliance processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field.
• Professional tax or accounting qualification (CA, ACA, CTA, CIOT or similar).
• Minimum 6 years of experience in tax, finance or a related analytical role.
• Experience in a large public accounting firm or multinational corporate tax department.
• Strong understanding of financial systems and technical accounting concepts.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
