Finance Controller – US & India

About the role

Phox Health is seeking a hands‑on Finance Controller to lead finance and controllership activities for its US and India operations. The role combines strategic oversight with day‑to‑day transaction management, partnering with leadership and external advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Drive monthly close and financial reporting for US and India entities
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, management reports, and key financial metrics
• Manage budgets, forecasts, cash‑flow planning, and management reporting
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities including AP, AR, billing, collections, payroll, vendor payments, and COD settlements
• Perform and review account reconciliations (bank, intercompany, balance‑sheet)
• Manage intercompany accounting and support transfer‑pricing requirements
• Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and other month‑end accounting activities
• Establish and maintain approval workflows, financial controls, and accounting processes
• Coordinate with US CPAs, Indian CAs, auditors, tax advisors, and other external partners
• Support audit, tax, and statutory compliance requirements across US and India
• Review and approve payroll, payment, and client‑remittance batches
• Identify discrepancies in operational data, improve controls, and drive accuracy
• Build automated, scalable finance processes and reduce manual work
• Provide financial insights and analysis to US and India leadership
• Drive continuous improvement across finance operations, systems, and reporting

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification
• 10–15 years of hands‑on finance, accounting and controllership experience
• Strong experience managing or working directly with US and India accounting operations
• Deep understanding of accounting, financial reporting, audits, taxation, compliance and internal controls
• Hands‑on experience with monthly close, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management
• Experience working with external CPAs, CAs, auditors and tax advisors
• Ability to overlap with US working hours when required
