Senior Payments Operations Analyst

About the role

The Ops Senior Analyst – Payments will lead investigations into failed, delayed or mis‑routed payment transactions, ensuring accurate processing and protecting the bank’s financial integrity. You will work within the Group Operations team in Bengaluru, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve failed, delayed, mis‑routed and high‑value payments within agreed service levels.
• Analyse payment data to identify root causes, document findings and implement corrective actions.
• Manage complex payment exceptions and escalations, coordinating with banks, clients and other teams.
• Ensure all investigations comply with regulatory, compliance and audit requirements.
• Monitor trends, conduct root‑cause analyses and recommend process improvements.
• Mentor junior analysts, review case quality and promote best practices.
• Identify gaps and opportunities for automation and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in payments, transaction processing, banking operations, fintech or corporate treasury.
• Exposure to both domestic and international payment platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work early‑morning shift (4 AM login) and handle high‑pressure situations.
