Senior Software Engineer - Python Full Stack, Agentic AI & Azure

About the role

AT&T is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Python Full Stack Developer, Agentic AI and Azure cloud) in Bengaluru, India. The role combines backend development, cloud solutions and data pipelines, with 40 weekly hours in a regular position.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Flask.
• Build and consume APIs for integration with internal and external systems.
• Develop cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Implement data processing, transformation and analytics pipelines using Polars and Python.
• Design and optimize database schemas, queries and stored procedures in PostgreSQL.
• Use Redis for caching, session management and performance optimization.
• Develop front-end components using HTML, CSS and JSON-based integrations.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps and Security teams, and ensure secure coding, performance and cloud governance standards.
• Take part in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting and production support, and contribute to CI/CD automation and deployment.

Required profile

• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments, and excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Self-driven with an ownership mindset, able to design scalable, secure and maintainable solutions.

Required skills

• Strong Python programming and hands-on Flask framework experience.
• Microsoft Azure and strong SQL with PostgreSQL.
• Redis, Polars or similar data processing frameworks, API development and integration.
• HTML, CSS, JSON, Git-based source control and agentic AI development with coding agents.
• Playwright for automated web testing.
• Good to have: Azure App Services, Functions and Container Apps, Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, OAuth/SSO/JWT authentication, monitoring and logging, AI/ML integration (Azure OpenAI, LLM apps), Jira Cloud.
