Senior Software Engineer – Java & Spring Boot

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Sam's Club membership technology team, you will design and build scalable backend services that power the membership lifecycle platform. You will work with modern Java technologies to deliver high‑performance, reliable solutions that enhance the member experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and prioritize requirements.
• Implement new features, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and follow best practices.
• Work with DevOps to ensure smooth deployment, monitoring, and continuous delivery.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in the Java ecosystem.

Required profile

• 5–9 years of professional experience developing Java applications with Spring Boot.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
