Senior Software Engineer (Go / Golang)

About the role

NetApp Console lets customers manage, protect and optimise data across data centres and public cloud. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will build it end to end: Go microservices on Kubernetes, multi-tenant APIs and the React experiences customers use daily. You will lead design, mentor engineers and own customer-facing platform work within the R&D function.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and deliver capabilities across Go microservices and React applications.
• Shape architecture and system design for secure, event-driven services, APIs and data models on Kubernetes.
• Make trade-offs across scale, multi-tenancy, reliability, security and cost.
• Build responsive, accessible React and TypeScript experiences on well-designed APIs.
• Lead design discussions with partner teams and help set engineering practices.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate work across teams.
• Raise reliability through testing, CI/CD, observability, SLOs and incident analysis.

Required profile

• A minimum of 8 years of applicable software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred, not required.
• Ability to take a cross-team leadership role, be creative, team-oriented and self-motivated.

Required skills

• Production Go services, including concurrency, profiling and tuning.
• System design for scalable microservices and APIs (REST, GraphQL or gRPC).
• Databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL or Redis, including data modelling, indexing and query tuning.
• Distributed systems: Kafka or NATS messaging, caching, idempotency and consistency.
• Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, CI/CD and observability such as Prometheus or OpenTelemetry.
• OAuth2/OIDC, RBAC, multi-tenancy and secrets management.
• React, TypeScript, JavaScript and reusable UI components.
