Senior Project Officer – MEAL (Health, Child Protection, Agriculture)

About the role

The Senior Project Officer will provide Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) support across CRS’s priority programmes, strengthening systems, designing robust project frameworks and leveraging ICT for data‑driven decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement MEAL plans, theories of change, results frameworks and budgets in line with CRS policies and donor requirements.
• Conduct monitoring activities, ensure high‑quality data collection, manage databases and produce timely progress reports.
• Lead evaluations: develop TORs, coordinate field work, analyse quantitative and qualitative data, and disseminate findings.
• Enhance accountability through participatory feedback mechanisms and transparent communication with stakeholders.
• Promote knowledge management and learning at project, programme and institutional levels.
• Apply ICT4D tools for efficient data collection, analysis and reporting.
• Build capacity of MEAL staff and partners through workshops, training and mentoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in international development, economics, statistics or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive MEAL experience in at least one CRS programme area.
• Strong analytical ability with experience using quantitative and qualitative tools.
• Proficiency in standard computer applications (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and able to work independently and in teams.
