Senior Project Manager – Large‑Scale Business Transformation

About the role

HSBC is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large‑scale, cross‑functional initiatives that shape the future operating model of the bank. You will work closely with senior leaders across Business, Technology and Operations to deliver strategic programmes that drive value and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops that translate complex business drivers into high‑level operating models aligned with future‑state architecture.
• Define programme and portfolio strategy, securing agreement on budget, schedule and resources.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to design and execute organisation‑wide programmes supporting the Value Stream backlog.
• Provide governance, reporting and oversight for high‑priority initiatives, engaging senior stakeholders.
• Maintain a single source of truth for portfolio prioritisation, reporting, decision‑making and escalation.
• Support Quarterly Business Reviews, cost‑benefit analysis and continuous portfolio optimisation.
• Manage change costs, headcount, risks and issues while ensuring partner performance meets standards.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and embed sustainable outcomes into business‑as‑usual processes.

Required profile

• Proven ability to plan, prioritise and adapt to changing project demands.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior executives.
• Demonstrated experience delivering large‑scale programmes in a banking or financial services environment.
• Excellent communication and change‑management capabilities.
