Senior Process Engineer

About the role

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join its Global Excellence Centre. The role focuses on advanced process manufacturing for pharmaceutical, semiconductor and other process industries, delivering innovative design solutions and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare plant equipment layouts, process flow diagrams (PFDs), equipment sizing and P&IDs.
• Develop specifications and data sheets for process, utility and warehouse equipment.
• Design Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) facilities, including tablet and capsule lines, granulators, fluid‑bed dryers, compressors and coaters.
• Design small and large volume parenteral facilities, covering ampoule/vial washers, de‑hydrogenation tunnels, filling machines, isolators, autoclaves and secondary packaging.
• Define instrumentation control requirements and plant process control philosophies.
• Create and review project documentation such as DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ, FAT/SAT protocols and reports.
• Participate in project reviews, status tracking and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to cGMP guidelines, industry standards, SHE and sustainability policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8‑14 years of experience as a process engineer in a design‑consultancy environment.
• Proven experience in OSD and parenteral facility design.
• Strong knowledge of equipment used in tablet, capsule, blister, bottle and secondary packaging lines.
• Familiarity with cGMP, regulatory standards and quality qualification procedures.
