Senior Plant & Machinery Engineer – Operations & Maintenance

About the role

The Senior Plant & Machinery Engineer will lead the inspection, commissioning, operation and maintenance of a diverse equipment fleet on site. The role ensures equipment availability, safety compliance and efficient maintenance planning to support construction and heavy‑industry projects.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and commission equipment according to site requirements.
• Manage day‑to‑day operation and preventive/repair maintenance of the equipment fleet.
• Prepare and execute maintenance activity lists within scheduled timeframes.
• Plan inventory and guarantee maximum equipment availability.
• Conduct technical training for O&M crews and equipment users.
• Coordinate with users to resolve operational and maintenance issues.
• Adhere to safety procedures and document maintenance check‑lists.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience for B.E. graduates or 9 years for diploma holders in operations and maintenance of construction equipment.
• Experience in large construction or contracting companies, preferably in oil & gas or heavy industry.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of plant and machinery operations, maintenance, and spare‑parts management.
• Manpower management for site O&M activities.
• Understanding of safety and quality policies.
• Equipment maintenance scheduling and spare‑parts planning.
• Strong verbal and written communication for contractual matters.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
