Civil Construction Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Civil Construction Engineer to lead area grading, land development and on‑site execution of civil works. You will coordinate closely with surveyors, contractors and the project control team to ensure that all civil activities meet design specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Study plot plans, develop layout drawings and supervise field execution.
• Coordinate with surveyors to establish plot boundaries, initial reduced levels and cutting/filling quantities.
• Manage soil sampling, laboratory testing (OMC, MDD) and regular field compaction tests.
• Monitor resource utilization, report any mobilization issues and verify contractor daily progress reports.
• Check rebar bending, formwork, scaffolding, handrails and safety measures against drawings and specifications.
• Oversee concrete placement, compaction, cube sampling, surface rendering and fire‑proofing.
• Ensure proper installation and alignment of embedded items (anchor bolts, insert plates) before concrete pours.
• Control back‑filling, curing and overall site safety.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 6‑8 years of relevant experience, or a Diploma with 14‑16 years of experience.
• Prior experience in refinery or petrochemical construction projects is desirable.
