Senior Numerical Modeler / Coastal Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Numerical Modeler / Coastal Engineer to join our Chennai team. The role involves developing and applying advanced numerical models to solve complex coastal engineering challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, calibrate, and validate numerical models for coastal and marine environments.
• Analyze coastal processes such as hydrodynamics, sediment transport, and wave dynamics.
• Design and implement coastal protection and erosion control measures.
• Conduct data analysis and create visualizations to support decision‑making.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on coastal engineering projects.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Coastal Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in coastal engineering or related disciplines.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills in English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for field work and client meetings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with numerical modeling software such as MIKE, Delft3D, Telemac, and SWAN.
• Programming expertise in Fortran, Python, and MATLAB.
• Advanced data analysis and visualization capabilities.
