Marine Structural Engineer

About the role

Assystem is seeking a Marine Structural Engineer to lead the structural analysis and design of marine infrastructure such as jetties and diaphragm walls. The role involves applying engineering standards, using advanced software tools, and delivering high‑quality technical reports.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of marine structures, including jetties and diaphragm walls.
• Utilise STAAD Pro software to model and evaluate structural performance.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant British standards, PIANC guidelines, and other maritime regulations.
• Apply knowledge of construction techniques and buildability to produce practical, constructible solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in structural analysis and design of marine structures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree in Marine Structures, Offshore Engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for producing high‑quality reports.
• Eagerness to continuously learn and develop professional expertise.

Required skills

• Proficiency with STAAD Pro software.
• In‑depth knowledge of British standards (BS) applicable to maritime infrastructure.
• Familiarity with PIANC guidelines and other relevant maritime design standards.
• Understanding of construction techniques and buildability for marine structures.
