Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

BlueOptima is seeking an independent, commercially‑minded lawyer to own its legal function on a full‑time basis in India. The role supports enterprise SaaS contracting, maintains the legal framework for a fast‑moving multi‑jurisdiction group, and acts as the primary legal contact for the India entity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead enterprise contract negotiations from engagement through redlining to close, handling high‑value deals with large counterparties.
• Draft, review and negotiate MSAs, order forms, SOWs, NDAs and DPAs governed by England & Wales, New York or Swiss law.
• Provide legal and compliance support for the India entity, including employment‑law matters and statutory compliance.
• Own and optimise standard contract templates, fallback positions, policies and the contract‑management system.
• Review and negotiate inbound supplier, SaaS, professional‑services and confidentiality agreements.
• Handle data‑protection matters, negotiate DPAs and support InfoSec policy management.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with commercial experience in enterprise contract negotiation.
• Familiarity with English, New York and Swiss governed contracts.
• Knowledge of Indian employment law and local statutory compliance.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and overlap with UK and US business hours.
