Senior Inventory Controller

About the role

We are looking for a senior‑level Inventory Controller to oversee the accurate tracking, movement and optimisation of stock across our warehouses. The role combines strong analytical abilities with hands‑on inventory management to support operational efficiency and minimise waste.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain precise inventory records for all storage locations.
• Monitor stock levels and trigger replenishment to avoid shortages or excess.
• Conduct regular cycle counts, annual physical inventories and reconcile any discrepancies.
• Track and report all inventory movements, including receipts, issues, transfers and adjustments.
• Collaborate with procurement, production and sales teams to align inventory with operational demand.
• Develop and enforce inventory control policies, procedures and best practices.
• Identify slow‑moving, obsolete or surplus items and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and organisational standards.
• Use ERP inventory software to analyse data, generate reports and forecast requirements.
• Train warehouse and logistics staff on inventory control processes as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of proven experience in inventory management, stock control or warehouse operations.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP inventory systems (e.g., SAP, Tally, Oracle).
• Knowledge of Lean inventory management and Six Sigma methodologies.
