About the role
Invesco is seeking a self‑motivated Senior Full Stack Engineer to join its Digital Tool & Services Engineering team. You will develop and optimise proprietary software applications that power client‑facing tools and self‑service experiences, directly impacting business outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain Java‑based microservices using Spring Boot.
- Build and expose RESTful APIs with JSON, HTTP, OAuth and JWT.
- Implement front‑end features using ReactJS.
- Deploy and manage services on AWS (S3, RDS/DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, IAM).
- Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead technical initiatives.
Required profile
- 6+ years of backend software development experience.
- Strong programming fundamentals and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
Required skills
- Java, Spring Boot
- RESTful API design (JSON, HTTP, OAuth, JWT)
- Microservices architecture
- AWS services (S3, RDS/DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, IAM)
- ReactJS
- Relational and NoSQL databases
- Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing
- Docker; Kubernetes (plus)
- AI/ML integration (SageMaker, Bedrock, Rekognition, Comprehend) – nice to have
- Event‑driven technologies (Kafka, SQS, SNS) – nice to have
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) – nice to have
