Investment Technology Engineer I

About the role

You will join the Investment Data Risk and Performance Technology (IDRP) team within the Investments Technology department, working in the DIAL squad to deliver accurate and insightful data to Invesco's investment teams. The role involves designing, developing, and supporting risk solutions while collaborating with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with global business partners and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Collaborate with software developers and business analysts to deliver technical solutions.
• Perform technical analysis, development, unit testing, QA, system testing, and implementation following Agile practices.
• Adhere to documentation, coding, and quality standards.
• Understand business needs and recommend technology solutions to improve efficiency.
• Propose application architectures to troubleshoot issues and enhance production processes.
• Conduct business analysis to ensure solutions meet user requirements.
• Adopt open‑source technologies where appropriate.
• Upskill and mentor junior team members.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and prepare documentation for ongoing system support.
• Handle escalations from support teams and participate in on‑call rotations.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of experience in technology.
• Programming experience in Python and RESTful APIs.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, EKS, ECS, CloudWatch).
• Familiarity with FastAPI and GraphQL (preferred).
• Experience building AI agents using AWS Bedrock (preferred).
• Experience with Bitbucket pipelines (preferred).
• Ability to work with limited supervision and solve moderately complex problems.
