Senior Data Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help build and evolve the data platform that powers critical business decisions and customer‑facing experiences at DevRev. You will own key parts of the architecture that underpins the Computer AI teammate, designing and operating scalable data systems.

Key responsibilities

• Own data architecture for large‑scale projects, balancing scalability, reliability, performance and cost.
• Design, build and operate data pipelines that ingest, transform, store and serve massive data volumes.
• Partner with software engineering, data science, product and AI teams to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Define and enforce data quality, reliability and SLA/SLO targets for owned datasets.
• Optimize data models, databases and complex SQL workloads for performance and storage efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software or data engineering experience building production systems.
• Strong programming skills in Go, Java, C++, Python or JavaScript and solid SQL expertise.
• Proven experience designing and operating production‑grade data pipelines or distributed data systems.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and understanding of their performance characteristics.
