Senior Data Analyst

About the role

The Retail and Selection team at Coupang is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to ensure high‑quality, reliable data for critical business decisions. You will work on large‑scale datasets, improve data pipelines, and apply AI techniques to streamline catalog management and analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Improve the quality and depth of selection data, establishing a "source of truth" for multi‑billion‑dollar decisions.
• Maintain robust ETL processes that integrate market trends, vendor performance, and customer demand signals.
• Leverage Large Language Models and prompt engineering to automate catalog categorization and extract insights from unstructured vendor data.
• Design training programs and self‑service dashboards enabling category managers and vendors to make data‑driven decisions.
• Structure datasets for SKU rationalization, automated replenishment, and competitive benchmarking.
• Run simulations to predict the impact of selection changes on customer retention and profitability.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or R for data extraction and manipulation.
• Practical experience with prompt engineering and generative AI tools.
• Ability to create data stories using PowerBI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
• Business‑level fluency in English and experience onboarding non‑technical users.
