Principal Software Engineer

About the role

Join Zynga’s global gaming team in Bengaluru and help shape experiences enjoyed by millions worldwide. As a Principal Software Engineer you will lead the design and delivery of high‑impact features across our portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new and innovative gameplay features using Java, C#, C++, Python and JavaScript.
• Apply engineering best practices to ensure performance, reliability and measurability of live games.
• Break down large technical problems and guide teammates in implementation.
• Perform design and code reviews and maintain overall game health in production.
• Collaborate closely with product, UI/UX, art and QA teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and continuously seek performance improvements.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience with C#, C++, JavaScript, Android, iOS and React.
• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, OOP, operating systems and networking.
• Experience with source‑control management and conducting code reviews.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in multidisciplinary agile teams.
